In this post I share how I made my first $1000 online and how you can too. I made my first $$$ online with affiliate marketing back in 2016. Affiliate marketing is still profitable in 2021, but it has to be done the right way. The way it works is that you earn commissions through promoting other people’s products.

Earning through affiliate marketing is far better than earning from online surveys or online jobs due to its accumulative nature. You create a website now and your posts are going to be there forever for people to read and to sign up through your affiliate links. So it is passive in nature. Starting a blog is by far the best way to earn online.

You could also expand your business by creating YouTube videos in addition to blog posts. YouTube marketing is also taught by Wealthy Affiliate. The training also includes multiple ways to get traffic to your site, the current methods in affiliate marketing and researching profitable niches and products.

Affiliate marketing is a great career choice as there is not risk to it. You would have to choose which industry you would like to work and you can choose to promote anything you are passionate about.

Wealthy Affiliate also has an affiliate program which means that you can promote it and get people to sign up through your affiliate link and you will earn a commission for each person who signs up through your affiliate link.

There are other products similar to Wealthy Affiliate like ClickFunnels and Builderall, but not quite as good as Wealthy Affiliate. What makes Wealthy Affiliate exceptional is that it is adaptable for marketers of all levels, from newbies to very experienced marketers. Yes, it is newbie friendly, it teaches you everything from A to Z, but there is training for all levels and new trends in affiliate marketing so that even very experienced marketers can learn from it.

I first signed up to Wealthy Affiliate in September 2016. I joined with the intention to learn new skills and eventually earn online with the help of this program. After three years at Wealthy Affiliate I decided to write another updated review as a member of three years.

What Is Wealthy Affiliate All About

Is Wealthy Affiliate Legit

Wealthy Affiliate is not a get-rich-quick scheme. After you sign up to Wealthy Affiliate it will take you many months to a year or more to make any money. This is exactly why Wealthy Affiliate is legit.

While Wealthy Affiliate is legit they will never claim that they will teach you to make money fast. Building an online business takes time.

It can take 3-6 months to start earning with Wealthy Affiliate if you put in quality work. This is also the time needed for your website to gain trust in the eyes of Google and Bing.

1. If it’s something technical related to your website you can ask the Site Support. They will solve your problems related to website like site speed, if your site is down for any reason, Google Search Console problems etc. They typically answer within one hour.
2. You can ask questions in the Live Chat (if you want something quick that members can answer live)
3. You can ask question in the platform where other members will reply when they see your question
4. You can directly ask the owners (Yes, they respond to every question on their profile, Kyle is more available for member questions)
5. You can ask any member that you consider knowledgeable in a direct private message. During my three years at Wealthy Affiliate, it has happened to me to see another member’s website where they had a beautiful feature, like a landing page or whatever that I wanted to have in my site too. I directly asked the WA member and they were of great help.

Who is Wealthy Affiliate for?

Wealthy Affiliate is for anyone who wants to learn the skills to earn with affiliate marketing.
The skills are practical and each new skill you learn on the platform brings you one step closer to earning online. The most important thing is the ability to learn.
One thing that I have noticed, however, is that some people who don’t achieve success with Wealthy Affiliate don’t know well English and they create a website in English which is difficult to read. I would recommend to those people to create a website in a language they know how to communicate. Other than this I think that everyone can create a successful website. Writing a website is really like talking to a friend and transmitting you message. No need to be a perfectionist here.

Who is Wealthy Affiliate not for?

Wealthy Affiliate is the platform who has helped a lot of people to earn online more than they could ever imagine. You can read more about Wealthy Affiliate success stories here and here. But Wealthy Affiliate is not for everyone.
Affiliate marketing can be a slow process especially building a website and ranking it. If you join Wealthy Affiliate you need to be ok with not earning immediately.
If you need to earn right away you could better look for freelancing sites. However, Wealthy Affiliate is the best option in the long run.
Wealthy Affiliate is a big scam for lazy people and daydreamers. For others, it teaches affiliate marketing skills and is a valuable resource even as a free member. Wealthy Affiliate gives you the tools and training but you need to implement it.

What I love the most about Wealthy Affiliate

The thing that I like most about Wealthy Affiliate is that it is focused on learning and that it teaches everything in small newbie-friendly steps.
This is what appealed the most to me when I first joined Wealthy Affiliate. I had just finished University and I had studied marketing. I did my thesis on online marketing and I wanted to continue to learn and this time learn practical skills.
I was patient to learn and to apply every skill. I love finding solutions to problems and the fact that you can’t get stuck with Wealthy Affiliate appeals to me.
I would hate to apply something and get stuck and spend hours and hours trying to find a solution to a problem without going anywhere. As a member of Wealthy Affiliate when I need some information or a solution, I directly ask the community, Site Support or Kyle. Every big project is compound of little detail and you can learn anything with the right support.
